On 8th March, a consortium joined by CRSC won bids for E&M system integration and auxiliary works of Jiangxi section and Hubei section of the Anqing-Jiujiang High Speed Railway (AnJiu HSR), after securing a contract for Anhui section on 3rd January. CRSC will conduct system integration of signaling, communication, information and disaster prevention systems (including equipment procurement, construction & installation and project delivery) of the whole railway, and support integrated testing & commissioning and trial operation.
The 198.25km AnJiu HSR starts from Anqing City, Anhui Province, then heads for Huangmei County, Hubei Province, crosses the Yangtze River at Bianyuzhou before reaching Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, and then connects with the existing Lushan Station; includes 102.67km Anhui Section, 51.01km Hubei Section and 15.418km Jiangxi Section.
The railway has a design speed of 350km/h, and will use CRSC's CTCS-3 train control system for HSRs. The Anhui Section will be completed by 31st December 2020, and the Hubei and Jiangxi Sections, by 31st August 2022.
The AnJiu HSR connects with the Hefei-Anqing, Anqing-Bengbu and Beijing-Shanghai HSRs in the north, and the Wuhan-Jiujiang, Nanchang-Jiujiang, Nanchang-Ji'an-Ganzhou, and Ganzhou-Shenzhen HSRs in the south, serving as a key link of China's HSR "8-vertical & 8-horizontal" HSR network. Once completed, it will provide a large-capacity fast and convenient east-west passenger corridor between the area of East China along the Yangtze River, and Central, South & Southwest China, accelerating integration into the "Belt and Road", and the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
CRSC will follow the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialist thought with Chinese characteristics for a New Era, utilizing its comprehensive advantage of "three-in-one capability" of design & development, equipment manufacture and engineering services of rail transportation control system, and project experience and brand reputation in E&M system integration of HSRs. It will establish the concept of "Quality and Safety First", making meticulous arrangements, and exercising stringent management; and promote the concepts of "Craftsman Spirit" and "CRSC Workmanship", exercising strict standard, quality and safety control and ensuring safe, high-quality and on-time project delivery, to contribute to China's development into a strong power in transport.
